Welcome

My name is Lars K. Christensen.

As a historian, I am mainly interested in the history of working life, the labour movement and industrial heritage. Topics that I have written about, made exhibitions about and talked about on radio and on TV.

I also have an interest in theories and methods of cultural history in general, as well as in museology.

You may find a list of my publications in English and German here.

I hold a PhD as well as higher doctoral degree (dr.phil.) in history, from the University of Copenhagen.

Presently, I work as curator and senior researcher at ROMU – a regional museum of cultural history, centred around the historic town of Roskilde, Denmark.

ROMU deals with a vide range of topics, from the first Neandertal settlements to contemporary youth culture. Its exhibitions are spread over several exiting locations, including Roskilde Museum, Lejre Museum, Færgegården in Frederikssund and Ragnarock, the national museum of pop and rock.
